Transport Security Program

Country Courier Services established a Transport Security Program in 2007, recent audit performed by Inspectors from the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government carried out in April 2008 show "No matters requiring corrective action were detected during the audit".

"The audit and compliance activities of the Office of Transport Security are part of an outcomes focused process aimed at continuous improvement in air cargo security. The ongoing application of the security measures contained in your TSP is an important contribution to aviation security in Australia"

This program is audited internal every 12 months, and externally every 24 months.

Dangerous Goods & Regulated Air Cargo Agent (RACA)

"Approved by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority pursuant to the requirements of Civil Aviation Safety Regulations for the purposes of sub regulations 92.095, 92.100, 92.105 and 92.120 for a group A, B or F employee of an aircraft operator/ground handling agent/freight forwarder and shippers of dangerous goods".

All transport staff, air cargo staff and management are required to have "Dangerous Goods By Air Acceptance Training Course" and "Regulated Air Cargo Agent" training. This training is supplied by a regulated training body and is approved by the Civil Aviation Security Authority (CASA)

Aviation Security Identification (ASIC)

Any staff member required to enter the Townsville Airport is required to have an ASIC pass. This allows them to gain entry to cargo areas in order to collect and drop off freight as required. These passes are issued under the Civil Aviation Security Authority (CASA) and are required to be renewed every 12 months.

First Aid & CPR

We have a First Aid Officer in every section of the warehouse and office to ensure any incident/accident is responded to immediately. First Aid training is supplied by St John Ambulance Australia and is reviewed every 12 months for "Perform CPR" and 24 months for "Apply First Aid".

Fire Warden

All staff are trained in the use of fire extinguishers and hose reel - "PUAWER008A Confine Small Workplace Emergencies". We have a designated Fire Warden in every section of the warehouse and office as well as a Chief Fire Warden, Deputy Fire Warden and Communication Officer. This training is supplied by Queensland Fire & Rescue Service and is renewed every 24 months.
